One of my best friend's daughters needed a Bone Marrow Transplant for Leukemia. I created this quilt for a fundraiser that made $16,241.00. Gifts of Love took 310 hours to make. I used 89 different fabrics, 48 threads and it has 847 individually appliqued pieces

Techniques:

• Hand applique- Santa, toys, presents, reindeer scene

• Machine embroidery- ribbons on presents, icing on gingerbread men, and helmets on rat soldiers

• Embellishments- ribbon on the teddy bear, and parts of the bell

• Traditional piecing- sleeves (double saw tooth), and borders (single saw tooth)

• Machine quilted
